Tidal power

The first lagoon powered turbines are planned in the Bristol Channel and Cumbria as this BBC report outlines.  The  world’s first planned lagoon power plants are unveiled in UK. A  series of six lagoons could generate 8% of the UK’s electricity for an investment of £30bn. The article contains a graph that predicts the changing patterns of electricity generation up to 2030.
