Plenitude economy

This 4 minute video features an account of an approach to ‘plenitude’ economics that minimises the working week and  allows people to live better, consume less, build social capital in a new model of reclaiming the human scale of enterprise. The American commentator is accompanied by a dynamic sketch pad that visualises her commentary. The video is produced by the Center for the New American Dream which  helps Americans to reduce and shift their consumption to improve quality of life, protect the environment, and promote social justice. The adjective ‘plenitude’ refers to the fact that freedom from the demands of excessive hours of paid labour releases plenty of time to enjoy a higher quality of life.
